Speaker: Stroud Custer
Stroud Custer has over 30 years of programming experience, starting
with HP, DEC, Basic4 and TI mini-computers. He developed
micro-computer based applications in the early eighties, then moved
to the IBM midrange platform in 1985. He started the transition to
Java, Linux and open source software about five years ago. His
favorite languages are Java, Python and XSLT, and his operating
system of choice is Kubuntu Linux. He has been using the NetBeans IDE
since version 3.6 and participated in NetBeans 5.0 and 6.0 testing
programs. He is employed by Susan Graham Consulting, LLC.
Abstract:
The NetBeans Community Project has just released version 6.0
of the NetBeans IDE. This presentation will be a review of the
features provided by the IDE, including the newly redesigned source
editor, integration of version control and web servers, the project
paradigm and tools that aid in XML document creation, refactoring,
application profiling and desktop and mobile application development. |
