Abstract:
Grails is a rapid application development framework built upon the de-facto standard open source tools that are typically used in java-based web application development. Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, log4J, SiteMesh, Quartz, Tomcat and Ant. Groovy is a dynamically typed language that simplifies much of the tedium of Java development.
In this Introductory presentation, also will present the Grails Framework for rapid development of Web MVC applications. He will discuss the benefits of using the Groovy language, how it simplifies coding and why the learning curve for Groovy is very short for Java developers. Also, illustrate how existing Java libraries are easily integrated.
After this presentation you will discover the simplicity of packaging and deploying a web application (WAR). By using the Groovy on Grails developers can have a web application framed and packaged in minutes. |
