Main Session - Getting Started with Tomcat Speaker: Patti Bryant - Capital Blue Cross
Patti has been attending JUG meetings for years with her husband Joe. At
our last planning meeting, she said she wanted to contribute and chose this
topic. Here's how she described it:
Patricia Bryant, that's me, married to a huge "geek" has been a
ghost wandering in and out of these "java" things (jug meetings) for a
few years. Finally I spoke up and said hey maybe I should
show how to set this stuff up from scratch.... Because I'll be darn
if I can, and it'll be a good way to learn. So, This month I will
show you just how to do that establish your environment and set up
Tomcat and the Application manager and publish your first application.
Main Session - Unit Testing with EasyMock Speaker: Andy Galeano from Versatile Systems
Andy Galeano is a Software Consutlant at Versatile Systems who has been
doing Java and C/C++ development for 11 years. Andy has worked on
application such as web portals, retail credit card processing software,
medical related lab manuals, random drug testing web apps, mailing list
software, and education report card applications. "Andy is the shortest
member of the Versatile consulting staff." Abstract:
EasyMock is an open source library used to facilitate test-driven
development. Specifically, EasyMock uses Java proxies to dynamically
create Mock Objects for interfaces in JUnit Tests. This allows objects to
be tested in isolation, with all other object interactions being processed
through Mock Objects with repeatable behavior.
